Discrimination

Stronger than metal,
They hold me back,
Up, against the wall.

People throwing
Sticks and stones,
Scratching my skin raw.

A deep breath in,
My head held high,
Hard to hide the pain.

Hate like toxins,
Blows like cannons,
But I won’t feel shame.
